On Saturday 28 February Brisbane City Council will be hosting the annual City Welcome Festival for current and new international students.

The event showcases over 60 exhibitors, including banks, public transport services, sporting groups and student accommodation providers.

Along with providing information on all the things a student could need during their time here, the City Welcome Festival also entertains with live music, wildlife displays, street performers and much more.

International students who need assistance to meet the English language entry requirements to study at UQ can now apply for a new 20-week Bridging English Program (BEP).

Students who successfully complete the BEP can use their course grades to demonstrate they meet the English language requirements for UQ entry and do not need to sit an exit IELTS test.
