As another academic year draws to a close, the Saturnalian spirit once more fills the air. This October 31st, on All Hallows Eve, join the festivities at the RD Milns Antiquities Museum for Saturnalia: A Festival of Wonders.
Traditionally, the Saturnalia was a chance for Romans to celebrate the year’s end. Slaves were given license to dine with masters and extravagant feasts were held. This year, the Museum looks back to the golden-age of collecting and celebrates the wonder-cabinets of the 16th to 19th centuries with the 2014 Museum Interns' exhibition, Curious Cabinets.
Come dressed in your finest attire, be it cocktail or fancy dress, and with whimsy as your guide, join us at the RD Milns Antiquities Museum for a night of wonder!
